DYE PROCESS
As a Navajo textile artist, I practice traditional natural dye techniques that honor ancestral knowledge and cultural tradition. I value the connection between past and present through the gathering of plants. Working with naturally soft wool and plant-based dyes provides an infinite range of colors and creative possibilities, allowing each textile to reflect both natural beauty and cultural continuity.
NATURAL DYES
Indigo, Cochineal, Wild Carrot, Yellow onion, Rabbit Brush Plant, Lichen, Navajo Tea, Black Walnut, Madder Root, Marigold, and Hollyhock etc.
